For music lovers, the Binghamton Area is the land of opportunity. Big names, local talent, no shortage of music of all styles. For musicians, all this can be inspiring. If you love to play but have no time for an organized band, there are opportunities to share your fun and favorite tunes. There are open mics and jam sessions just about any night of the week, at any number of establishments. When you are making your choice about where to participate, be sure to consider starting your weekends out right at the Black Bear Winery Friday night jam. Black Bear is welcoming musical guests, 6:00 to 9:00, to bring our their acoustic instruments and join in the fun. These sessions are free, casual, informal and hosted by different musical guests as the Freewheelers, Hobo Stew and others. The Hosts provide entertainment and inspiration, as well as organization, allowing everyone a chance to play solo or jam in with others. The Black Bear Winery is gaining a name for being a great place to sit back, enjoy a glass of the several sparkling hard ciders on tap, take in the unique pastoral view from the deck or party room and listen to the many talented musical guests. Simply a great way to finish up your work week and kick off the weekend! And to end your weekend- we also have a Sunday afternoon Jam from 2:00 to 5:00. Take a couple hours off, go for a 15 minute ride and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!
