Artists

Debbie Bittenbender is a local artisan. She started painting three years ago using the acrylic medium. She predominately is a naturalist, painting birds, animals, flowers, landscapes, and old buildings.  She paints on a variety of surfaces including wood, canvas and glass.  She has branched out and now does oils as well as acrylic.  She also does pen and ink with an oil rouging technique and is a certified instructor in this technique originated by pen and ink artist, Mary Owens.

Her favorite technique for many of her painting is to paint from photographs of animals, birds, building etc. found in her travels. She especially loves painting local barns and covered bridges.  She has been commissioned to paint several local homes, barns and covered bridges in the area.

Deb Parker is also a local area artisan.  She has been painting for five years and also works in mixed mediums including acrylics, oils and pen and ink with oil rouging.  Her favorite is the pen and ink with oil roughing techniques.

Deb is also a naturalist painter designing her own patterns working from photographs. Deb prefers to work on small scale projects with a special fondness for fairies and snowmen. Her snowman spoon paintings, available during the holidays are quite popular.
