Sandy and Mark Stacey, owners of Black Bear Winery
The year 2007 was a milestone for
the Black Bear Winery. Five years of crafting some very unique wine.
2008 begins year six of capturing the essences of sound ripe fruits.
Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and cranberries. We've presented
other wines using less familiar fruits like currants and gooseberries.
We have had great fun with the sparkling seasonal Ciders and the Meads.
All the unique wines
in the world mean nothing without all you nice people coming out, tasting, and
returning home with wine in hand. Thank you for being openminded, generous,
interested, supportive and patient. To all our nice visitors .... THANK
YOU! We are looking foward to serving you more special products during
2008!
This new year gives us
a chance to present some changes. We invite our visitors to check out
our new wrap-around deck and spacious parking lot. We think they are
great and are sure you'll find them very accomodating.
By the way, during
2008, try driving the "More Scenic" route to the winery. Take the
first left out of Chenango Forks, Willard Road. Turn right at the four
corner intersection, onto Cloverdale. You will find the Black Bear just
a hop down the road. We call this the alternative, "Fresh Air"
route. Try it, you'll like it!
On a final note: Music is the warmth and energy of the Black Bear. Join one of the many music jam sessions. SEE YOU THERE!
